CONNECT   COMMUNITY  AWARDS   faq

WHEN IS THE CONNECT AWARD?
Generally held in the first week of November. Be on the lookout for the Grand Opening.  Nominations will open May 1st and conclude June 30th.

WHO CAN NOMINATE?
ANYONE! A homeowner, board member, colleagues, supervisors, vendors!

WHEN DO NOMINATIONS CLOSE?
Nominations will close June 30th for selection, an email will be sent to each nominee who have been selected for the top 5 per category shortly after closing!

HOW MANY NOMINATIONS CAN I MAKE?
You may nominate as many nominees as you would like, but can only nominate the same person once.

HOW MANY NOMINATIONS DOES A NOMINEE NEED TO QUALIFY?
Each Community Association Manager must have 3 total nominations from separate nominators to progress to the next phase.

WHAT IS THE NEXT PHASE?

Once a manager receives the minimum of three nominations, they advance to the next phase of the awards process. In this phase, nominees are evaluated through a structured review process designed to identify the strongest candidates in each category.

Weight is given to the variety of nominators—such as board members, peers, supervisors, and vendors—as this demonstrates a broader industry impact. Duplicate submissions are consolidated, and incomplete nominations are removed to ensure fairness. Each nominee is then evaluated based on factors such as tenure in the industry, number of doors managed, overall impact, and the depth and quality of the nomination itself.

HOW IS THE WINNER FOR EACH CATEGORY SELECTED?

Each nomination will be carefully reviewed and redacted to remove any identifying information—such as the nominee’s name, management company, or community—to ensure an unbiased and fair selection process. These anonymized nominations are then provided to the Connect Awards Committee, who will individually evaluate and score each nominee based on the established criteria.

All scores are tallied, and the nominee with the highest overall score in each category is selected as the winner. This grading process applies consistently across all award categories to ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity in the selection process.

WHO IS ON THE CONNECT AWARD COMMITTEE?
The Connect Awards Committee is comprised of 5 Community Association Managers within the Central Florida Market from all different companies.

CAN THE CONNECT AWARD COMMITTEE MEMBERS BE NOMINATED?
Yes! When a committee member qualifies and is selected in the top 5, they will not be able to vote on themselves or that category, rather a Connect Advisory Committee Member will step in to grade that category in leu of that nominee.

WHO CAN SPONSOR THE AWARDS GALA?
Anyone! Non-Connect Members are welcome to sponsor this amazing event, even Management Companies! Sponsorship options will be made available June  1st! Want to get on the list to be the first to be notified? See above!
